Dick has been in the game manufacturing business for over 45 years. He is currently a consultant to Performance Games Inc. and oversees the manufacturing and engineering at PGI's new manufacturing plant in Michigan.
Previously, Dick was one of the founders and board members at Shelti. During his 6 years at Shelti, he was able to build the Shelti management team with the same personnel that he had when he was the CEO at Valley Recreation Product. Additionally, he was able to acquire the Valley dart company for Shelti, which Valley Recreation Products used to own.
Dick started his game manufacturing career as an assistant plant manager for the largest commercial-grade game manufacturer in the country, Valley Recreation Products. During his tenure with Valley, a company known worldwide for its exceptional quality "Cougar" band pool tables and "Tornado" brand foosball tables, Dick served as plant manager, Vice President of manufacturing, senior Vice President & general manager and ultimately president and chief executive office. Valley's hallmark was quality and Dick carried it to an industry-envied extreme, simultaneously introducing new features and new models throughout his tenure. As a result, Dick and the company enjoyed a host of national and international awards, including the coin equipment industry's coveted "Pool Table of the year" award for 18 years running.
